Majlis Mahmoodia

About the majlis

An iṣlāḥī majlis is a gathering for iṣlāḥ: the reform of the self, the heart and one's conduct, in the company of the people of knowledge and taqwā.

The majaalis of Madressa Mahmoodia have been held in Batley for many years, and recorded so that those who could not attend, and those who come after, can still benefit. This site keeps the recordings together. Each majlis has its own page, where you can listen, read the transcript as it plays, tap any line to hear it from there, and return to the malfūẓāt.

Alongside the majaalis are his other recordings kept by the madrasa: hadith and kitab programmes, dawat and tabligh, Quran khatams and duas, jalsas and special events, Jumuah and general bayans, dhikr and short advice, and his writings.

Who gives the majaalis

Every majlis on this site names who gave it.

About the transcripts

Transcripts are prepared from the recordings and checked before they are published. Where one has not yet been checked by hand, its page says so.
